Can you imagine what earth looked like from the International Space Station? Mashable posted a post highlighting some astronauts who apparently are on the International Space Station and are tweeting images of earth on twitpic.
Flight engineer Soichi Noguchi, a.k.a. @Astro_Soichi have been posting some nice twitpic from the view he’s been seeing over there. He is not the first astronaut to have tweeted from space, according to Mashable, first live tweet from space come from Astronaut Mike Massimino, a.k.a. @Astro_Mike.
Check out the photos :-
Singapore. Where is Mar Lion?
Port-Au-Prince, as of Feb 3. Three weeks after the earthquake.
Next time Malaysia is sending an astronaut to space he or she better has a Twitter account, which is why I seriously think they should seriously consider me, J Shamsul a.k.a @jibone to be the next astronaut, seriously.

Google had rolled out the Google suggest feature. Type in a few words on the search query box and Google would guess what you would want to search and suggest to you some search queries. It’s like Google is reading your mind.
Of course with this there are a lot of fun to have with. Try typing “Malaysia is ” or “Streamyx is ” or “Obama is ” whatever.

There are also some interesting uses of this feature. One of it is that you could quickly look for software alternative.
Let’s say that you are looking for an alternative to Photoshop, type in “Photoshop vs. ” or an alternative to Microsoft Office, type in “Microsoft Office vs “. Look at the suggested software alternative.

Do you have found any other useful uses of Google suggest? Tell us about it.

Words on the street is that newspapers are dying. The physical form of printed paper delivering yesterday news to the masses, that part is dying.
Most people now prefer the online web as they resource for news. The Star news publications already has a good web online presence with their main news website and some other sites like the Daily Chili.

I just found out that they are offering self-serve advertising on their websites. You could now easily advertise your product or your brand straight on their websites.
It looks like The Star Online is cutting out any middle man and deal directly with advertiser.
This is a sign that The Star, a well known news publication is currently looking seriously into new media. They wouldn’t have set this all up if they are not thinking that there is serious revenue on their online counterpart.
Well if I were an advertiser, I would want to know more about it’s traffic and the demographic of The Star reader before I sign up. There is not information on that anywhere on the website though.
